It was an honor for Fresco Film to be the company in charge of location finding and the Spanish production of this fantastic film. The European premiere is on July 5, 2019, and we’re eager to see it!
Filming took place in 2018 in Belchite, a city that was practically destroyed during the Spanish Civil War, and which is recognised as an Area of Cultural Interest for its value as a historic site. For this reason, shooting was carried out with extreme precautions to leave the locations exactly as we found them. For Fresco Film, respect and care for both historical monuments and natural areas is a great responsibility, and we always put all our resources into protecting them.
Confidentiality was a main condition of the contract, and the shoot was realized with the maximum discretion as, if it became known that the new “Spider-Man” sequel was being filmed in Spain it would have impacted not only this production but also the the launch of “Avengers: Endgame” which premiered in April, and featured some of the same characters.
